SITUATION OVERVIEW:
On November 17th, CARICOM Heads of Government travelled to Jamaica to demonstrate regional solidarity following the impact of Hurricane Melissa. The delegation included the Honourable Gaston Browne, Prime Minister of Antigua & Barbuda; the Honourable Mia Amor Mottley, Prime Minister of Barbados; the Honourable Dickon Mitchell, Prime Minister of Grenada; and Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali, President of Guyana. They were accompanied by senior regional officials, namely Dr. Carla Barnett, Secretary-General of CARICOM; Ms. Elizabeth Riley, Executive Director of CDEMA; Rear Admiral Errington Shurland, Executive Director of the Regional Security System (RSS); and Brigadier Carlos Lovell, Chief of Staff of the Barbados Defence Force (BDF).
