SITUATION OVERVIEW:
Over the period October 24 to 26, 2025, Tropical Cyclone Melissa developed and intensified rapidly across the central and western Caribbean, posing a growing threat to several CDEMA Participating States (PSs) in the northwestern sub-region, including Jamaica, the Cayman Islands, Haiti, The Bahamas, and the Turks and Caicos Islands. During this period, forecast uncertainty remained high, with successive advisories indicating potential rapid intensification and multi-state impacts, prompting national authorities across the threatened PSs to escalate preparedness measures.
