Grant Proposal Development in the Caribbean Context, a free online course in proposal writing in now available on the RTC Moodle Learning Management System (LMS).
The course is the product of a collaboration between the Caribbean Development Bank’s (CDB) Basic Needs Trust Fund (BNTF), the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA) Regional Training Centre (RTC), and Canada’s Local Engagement and Action Fund (LEAF). The course was launched on June 17, 2026, aimed at enhancing grant proposal writing skills across the Caribbean.
It is designed for civil society organisations, community groups, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), and government practitioners seeking to strengthen project development skills and improve access to funding opportunities for local and national initiatives.
This self-paced course features practical tools, interactive modules, and Caribbean-focused case examples designed to support effective proposal development and project planning. The programme also incorporates regional perspectives and experiences from practitioners involved in community development and grant writing across the Caribbean. Through the programme, participants will be guided through the full grant life cycle, including generating project ideas, identifying funding opportunities, developing strong proposals, and submitting proposals to funders.
