According to the National Hurricane Centre in Miami, Florida, as of 11:00 AM (AST) on Thursday August 24, 2023, the center of Tropical Storm Franklin was located at 22.2 N 69.9 W with maximum sustained winds of 60 mph moving north-east at 7 mph. TS Franklin was located approximately 90 miles or 145 KM east north-east of Grand Turk Island. The Tropical Storm Warnings for Haiti and Turks and Caicos Islands have been discontinued and the All Clear has been issued. The impact to the states was minimal and no significant damage was reported. TS Franklin is forecast to produce 1 to 3 inches of rainfall across Hispaniola and the eastern Turks and Caicos Islands throughout Thursday, August 24, 2023.
