Bridgetown, Barbados, April 7th, 2014 (CDEMA) – On Thursday, April 3, His Excellency Eugene Holiday, Governor of Sint Maarten and the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Trinidad and Tobago, Her Excellency Lucita Moeniralam, paid a courtesy call to the CDEMA Headquarters in Barbados.

Bridgetown, Barbados, March 26th, 2014 (CDEMA) - “A clear understanding of roles, responsibilities, functions and rules of engagement during relief operations is extremely important for the members of the CARICOM Disaster Relief Unit (CDRU) and this is emphasized during their annual training,” said Joanne Persad, Manager, Response and Recovery, CDEMA as the CDRU ended a week of training with field exercises in St. Croix.

Bridgetown, Barbados, March 12th, 2014 (CDEMA) - The Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA) will have a new headquarters at Lower Estate, St Michael, Barbados. Speaking at the Groundbreaking Ceremony held on Monday, Ronald Jackson, Executive director of CDEMA said, “The purpose-built facilities will significantly enhance CDEMA’s capabilities for emergency planning and response, as well as contribute to the growth of the regional skills base for disaster risk management.”
