Bridgetown, Barbados, 10 September 2013 (CDEMA) - The Urban Search & Rescue Light Level Course (USAR LL) culminated on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Crabs Camp in Antigua and Barbuda. Twenty- nine (29) Search and Rescue Technicians from Anguilla, Dominica, Montserrat and the Virgin Islands benefitted from the training which began on Monday, September 2, 2013 and concluded on Saturday, September 7, 2013. Participants came from a variety of disciplines including Fire, Police, Military, Forestry and Cadet Corps.

Bridgetown, Barbados, 4 September 2013 (CDEMA) - The 8th Annual Caribbean Conference on Comprehensive Disaster Management organized by Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA), in collaboration with the Office for Disaster Preparedness and Management (ODPEM) and its partners will be held at the Hilton Rose Hall Resort and Spa, Montego Bay, Jamaica from December 2 -6, 2013. Kingston, Jamaica, 26 August 2013 (UWI) - UWI Consulting Company in conjunction with the International Centre for Trade and Sustainable Development and the Trinidad and Tobago Coalition of Service Industries is hosting a workshop on Trade Policy, Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability from 19th to 20th September 2013 at the Kapok Hotel, Port of Spain.

The aim of the workshop is to strengthen the capacity of the public and private sector as well as academia and non-governmental organizations to analyse and assess trade and climate change governance scenarios, formulate negotiation positions and identify strategic options to inform policy-making and enterprise development.
