Bridgetown, Barbados, March 12th, 2014 (CDEMA) - The Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA) will have a new headquarters at Lower Estate, St Michael, Barbados. Speaking at the Groundbreaking Ceremony held on Monday, Ronald Jackson, Executive director of CDEMA said, “The purpose-built facilities will significantly enhance CDEMA’s capabilities for emergency planning and response, as well as contribute to the growth of the regional skills base for disaster risk management.”

Bridgetown, Barbados, March 6, 2014 (CDEMA) – The CDEMA System now has a pool of certified Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) personnel to boost measurement and reporting on the delivery of the Comprehensive Disaster Management Strategy in the region. The cohort was recently awarded the Masters Certificate Programme in Results-Based Monitoring & Evaluation and Information Systems from the Institute for Development in Economics and Administration (IDEA) through the Canadian based Laval University.
