Registration is Open for the Caribbean Urban Forum 2022- 15- 17 June in Barbados
Barbados will be hosting the 2022 Caribbean Urban Forum (CUF) Conference and it will be held from 15th-17th June, 2022 as a hybrid of physical and online meetings. CUF 2022 is a three-day Conference for land use practitioners, policy makers, academics and allied professionals interested in urban and land management issues within the Caribbean. The theme of this year’s event is Beyond COVID: Recovery-Renewable-Resilience, which calls on the Planning profession to recognise the significance of climate change adaptation and hazard vulnerability reduction measures for future sustainable development patterns.
Key areas for discussion include: community health and wellness, climate change adaptation and mitigation, waste management, agriculture/food security and sovereignty, sustainable tourism, managing marine resources and assets, investing in renewable energy, managing our rivers, ghuts, gullies and ponds, leadership governance and management systems and professional planning practice, education and training in the Caribbean. CUF is the premium Conference on urban and land planning in the Caribbean held annually since 2011. It brings together planners, academics, urban and land managers, high level decision makers and other allied professionals for knowledge dissemination, capacity building and policy dialogue.
