Monitoring, evaluation and reporting (M,E&R) have been identified as critical requirements to facilitate the measurement of CDM results achievement at the output and outcome levels. The ME&R components of the programme will be undertaken with the close technical involvement of the CDM CHC and MAC. Due to the harmonized approach of the programme, donors will participate in the supporting mechanisms for joint monitoring, evaluation and reporting.
In terms of evaluation, a mid-term and final appraisal of the initiative will be conducted. The mid-term evaluation will be undertaken when approximately 50% of the programme funds have been disbursed. This is intended to provide the opportunity for the early identification of solutions to implementation challenges which may arise and support the MAC function in the undertaking of early corrective action.
