Montego Bay,Jamaica,December 8, 2009 (ODPEM, CDEMA) - History has been made at the fourth Caribbean Conference on Comprehensive Disaster Management (CDM) with its first live online broadcast. From now until Thursday December 10, 2009 persons will be able to view the conference live on www.odpem.org.jm . With an audience interactive chat feature streamers can now communicate in real time using social networks, Facebook, Twitter and Ustream.
The CDM Conference is a regional event of the International Strategy for Disaster Reduction (ISDR) global platform and is structured to promote good practice, share ongoing research, for the advancement of CDM in the Caribbean and to provide opportunities for facilitating networking among disaster management Practitioners, Public and Private sector
organizations and other CDM Stakeholders.
